This little custom UL spinning rod is custom built on a fly rod tip section. I used select grade cork grips, Fuji reel seat, modern design Fuji Alconite guides, maroon wraps and a Sage blank. I scored several vintage over run Sage parts that had blemishes or were slightly shorter after trimming. They make excellent little custom rods for trout and panfish. I fully warranty them for 6 months. These don’t have the Sage decals as they are like the red headed step children. As a result they are way cheaper than factory built rods and still perform better than most of the UL rods out there. I have nearly 30 years experience building custom rods for a living so I know how to design and build these blemish blanks to there best use.
